Tuning my thunderheads.

Today I decided to go to the range and shoot my bow. This is the first year that I ever have tuned a broadhead. I shoot 100 grain thunderheads and 100 grain fieldpoints. My fieldpoints are dead-on. But the heads fly low and to the right. It is about 8 weeks before the season. Should I adjust my sights to the broadheads now? Can anyone recomend a head that will shoot with fieldpoints?
Thanks

superman77,
Before you go looking for another broadhead try a few things first. First try lowereing your nock point a little at a time to bring your feild points and BH closer together up and down. Then assuming you are right handed move your rest away from the bow a little at a time to bring your FP and BH closer together. If your center shot is too far out lower your poundage a couple of pounds and readjust centershot. Also download easton tuning chart off of www.bowjacksons.com web sight and it will walk you through all the procedures. Good luck and dont give up!:)

Try the 100 grain 3 blade Muzzys.

Do all of the broadheads group together, or are ya just using a couple of them for testing? Possibly have an alignment problem with the broadheads! Did you spin test the arrows with the broadheads inserted?
Just another possiblity!

I shot 3 fieldpointed arrows and then 3 with broadheads. I spinned them and all are low and to the right.

Go to www.eastonarchery.com. Download their Tuning and Maintenance Guide. It'll tell you in detail how to adjust your bow. The problem is your bow's tune. Nothing is wrong with the broadheads.

TUNING THUNDERHEADS = THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate thunderheads with a passion i spent countless hours trying to get then to fly right and every one seemed to fly differently, went back to muzzys after that for awhile (never been let down by a muzzy) and now im shooting ultimate steels by rocket - awesome flight.

Try this link. I know it's a Muzzy article but it helped me understand broadhead tuning.

I too have had great results from the Muzzy 3 blade!!!

Good luck.
