Assuming a finger trigger, not any sort of back tension release.

Is there any finer than Scott?

How about the new calipers from Truball, the Cyclone and the other one, where you can set trigger pressure independent of trigger travel?

Has Winn improved their trigger any?

I've tried 'em all, and IMO you won't find a better trigger than the Carter 2 shot. Crisp and clean, no travel.

HotLZ, how would you compare and contrast the 2 shot trigger with the Scott Mongoose?

What does it do the Scott doesn't?

I'm looking for a trigger that can be set fairly light, but not go off when you're just drawing the bow back...

I like the trigger heavy and crisp, no travel.

The Scott releases fit that bill very well.

I'd say it would be a toss up between the Scott and the Carter Two Shot.

The Carter is set up like a fine rifle trigger, very crisp & clean and it doesn't seem to load up with draw weight like some releases do.

I've been shooting a Winn FF for years and after buying my Scott LBG, I didn't realize just how bad their triggers were.

Currently I own a 3 scott releases, a winn, a couple tru-fires, a cobra, a Carter One shot, and a Carter two shot.

The Scotts are good releases for sure..alot of bang for buck..as are the Tru-ball index finger styles...the rest I own are...ehh...

But there is no comparison to the Carters, IMO. The Carters have virtually no travel, and a crisp rifle like trigger that can be set for heavy tension, which IMO is best for accuracy as you can lay your finger on the trigger without fear of it going off. The only way to set the Scotts for little travel is to set them for a hair trigger..which invites target panic..if you set them heavy then they have quite a bit of creep.

The Two Shot even makes the One shot feel kinda crappy...very nice release.

Guess I need to try out a 2 shot by Carter. I love the feel of my Carter Lockjaw 2000 release although reloading for another shot is not as easy as with some other releases.

I've only shot my tru-ball stinger. It's a caliper with no travel at all and the tension can be set wherever you want it. I love mine.
