string noise

just bought winners choice string ,and know my bow is too noisy.material used, bcy 8125 why is this? you would think spending 55.00 on a bow string it would be quiet.anybody else have this problem.

What all do you have on the string? The material used, 8125, is lighter then say, 450 plus. This may have some to do with it. I have never really noticed noise with anyone shooting these strings though.

I would say because it being prestretched it doesnt have any give to ubsorb the vibration. If you only paid 55.00 I would say that you didnt replace the buss cable. That could have a little to do with it and I would think you will be needing to replace the cable soon. I didnt notice alot of diffrence in noise when I put a winners choice on my bow. I put cat wiskers on. Also if it seems to be alot louder maybe something else is wrong. Check brace hieght measurement and cam timing to see and make sure it is the correct length of string. I personaly had them send me the wrong length string & cable. The package was mismarked. I have herd of three others who had this problem with their string.

Hmmm, I have run into the same issue...but I haven't exhausted all other avenues yet in terms of possible explanations...though this does give me food for thought.

This probrably isn't the problem but make sure you didn't cross the string/cable. I've seen a few people put theirs on with these crossed the wrong way and it gave more noise from them slipping over each other. Otherwise check measurements like Renz said.

I had the same problem and I just put a set of string leeches on the string.
