Gloves???? Esshhhhh! No can do here. I usually wear a hand warmer muff around my waist and thats about it. Also put disposable hand warmers in it. Have been in the stand all day in the twenties with it no problem. I may wear gloves to and from the stand but thats about it.

I wear a lightweight pair of jersey type gloves that have the nubs for grip. They work fine for me.

When it is cold enough to have to wear heavy gloves, "BobCo19-65's" method is good.

My hands and feet do not get cold very easy, but when the temps drop I like to use an insulated mitten (I find a mitten to be much warmer than standard gloves) on my bow hand and "BobCo19-65's" method for my release hand. I pin the "muff" at my waist in front at belt-buckle level so that I can easily slide my release hand in and out.

I just wear a pair of camo scent blocker gloves. Not the warmest glove out there but I don't worry about leaveing my scent on everything I touch.

Didn't used to worry too much about it, but as I get older my hands DO get cold![&:] Even when it's not really that cold. What I have been using is mittens (and hand warmers) with the velcro fasening in the palm, so I can flip it off and mu fingers are bare.

These mittens are kinda large and go on over my release.

What prompted my question was an adv. for gloves designed specifically for bow hunters. I'll see if I can find the adv. They came in MossyOak and looked pretty pretty good. Not real bulky and they had grips.

ArcticShield makes an awesome "system glove" that I really like for bowhunting. You can find them at keystonecountrystore.com

These gloves, the thinsulate lined dot jersey glove are the best that I've found for handling a bow. And for setting up sticks and a treestand for that matter. And with chemical hand warmer, like hot hands, I get through the whole season with these.
