Mathews or Bowtech?
 

Ok, this question will most likely stir up some major opinions, but here goes. I just got a Mathews Q2XL for X-mas, I like it alot and it feels comfortable to shoot. My favorite local archery shop carries Bowtech and after being in there a few times and listening to them sell Bowtechs to people, I've learned alot about them without even trying. I REALLY like that positive draw stop feature. They also seem to shoot a hell of alot faster.
I just bought my g/f a Bowtech Extreme SD and she loves it. She shoots more consistent groups and it has almost no recoil. I'm thinking about trading in for a Bowtech, i'd like to hear some people's opinions who have moved from a Mathews to a Bowtech or vice-versa. Thanks in advance for you comments.

Bryan, I've never shot a Mathews but I have shot several other brands over the years and I think I have found a keeper in BowTech. The only thing that I've found that I don't like is the design of the grip so I shoot without one. Not a big deal because I used to take my grip off other brands too. I think the best way to decide if a BowTech is for you is to try one out for yourself and see what you think and not so much on others opinions. Most bows look good hanging on the rack but until you get one in the hand to feel it, draw it, and shoot it that should help you decide.

You can't go wrong with either one, my personal opinion would be Mathews, but I have shot Bowtech as well and they are a good bow. I can tell you from experience that I have owned 7 Mathews bows and they were all excellent for what they were designed for. Shoot both bows and buy what feels best for you, not just because it's the &quot;HOT&quot; ticket this year! Every has loyalties and each bow will feel different to each archer. from what I have seen I like mathews better, just ordered a Q2XL. both are good bows, shoot the one that feels best to you. one will feel better, never buy a bow because you read something on here. always look at the dealer & what type of service you will get for each always get the bow that feels better for you. if that means trading in some speed or gaining speed it dosn't matter.

I've shot several Bowtechs,but not their new Patriot,and for me personally I just can't get comfortable with the Techs' grip. As for the rock solid draw-stop,you should shoot a Straightline Max cam in a half size that features a draw stop post. My 28.5&quot; Q2 is as solid at the backwall as any of the bows I've ever shot.
