RE: Switched arrows....big difference!!
Didn't mean to give ya a complex Frank:D. I know what you mean. I am just the opposite. The Axis I can't miss with, the Excel's god only knows where they would land somedays. Of course I was going through pretty bad shooting spree there for a while.;)
As I said earlier, the minute the Axis start goofing up and I notice them going south, I think I'll get me a dozen Gold Tip Pro Hunters. I have a great deal of confidence in them, just these Axis buggers looked pretty cool when they first came out. Can you say.......sucker? |
RE: Switched arrows....big difference!!
Excel shafts are not c2 construction, they are a wrapped carbon meant to compete with stuff like the GoldTip Hunters...(you'll notice prices, weights and spines are similar).
Haven't handled enough to know if they will have the same issues as c2s over time, but the ones I've seen have not been very straight from the get-go. |

Didn't mean to give ya a complex Frank . I know what you mean. I am just the opposite. The Axis I can't miss with, Though the Excels are inexpensive maybe the difference in the construction process is making the difference. I am still not experiencing problems with them. In fact, I am shooting my best ever.....I am not necessarily going to give the arrow all the credit for that but if the arrow was of poor construction or durability then I would expect it to affect my accuracy level. I guess only time will tell. |
