RE: Patriot vs. Liberty

does'nt the IBO allow for shorther draw archers to have lighter arrows or am I smoking something?[8D] If not it seems we are at a severe disadvantage:eek:

Definitely smokin'...but you're not sharin'...:( anyway, IBO specs were set up as a weight per pound guidline, draw length has never been part of it to my knowledge. Arthur P had some good comments concern IBO minimums on a thread on this bbs recently...basically it's a safety standard, because people were shooting arrows that were too light and bows were blowing up...it kinda evolved from there!

If you want a smoother draw out of the Patriot I highly recommend the alpine glide slide. It smoothes it right up. But I guess you could do that with a Liberty and be even smoother?

I recently gathered a higher appreciation for my Patriot VFT after test shooting a Parker 32 and Diamond Gladiator in my backyard the other day (friends bows). Yep I'm a happier customer now!

At your draw length the Patriot's force draw curve is smoother compared to the 29 & 30" draw range. The #1 & #2 mods really load up comparitively.

Unless you just absolutely want SUPA-smooth as your top priority, I'd pick the Patriot over the Liberty in your case.
