Goat Tuff glue on axis inserts???

Just bought a dozen Easton Axis 400's so far I have only cut and fletched one I used my goat tuff glue on the insert instead of the 24 hour epoxy that easton supplies with the arrows. What I want is some input from the rest of you guys before I do the rest of my arrows should I use the 24 hour epoxy or the goat tuff? also i let it dry for 1 1/2 hours then shot it about 10 times into a black hole target and a makenzy deer target with G5 practice broadheads, the insert stayed put , but what should I use on the rest of them?

kop,
You may have flushed the first one down the toilet........I would trust Len's advice with the other 11.
Here's his latest findings........

Matt.

My thoughts exactly.

Easton provides the glue for a reason, Yes it takes 24 hours to dry but well worth the wait.

Just follow the instructions that came with them and you will be ok with the epoxy.

In all my years of shooting bows-n-arrows, these are the first arrow shafts I've ever seen or heard of that come shipped with their own special glue for gluing inserts in place. Even as thickheaded, impatient and stubborn as I am, I think I'm smart enough to use the glue the manufacturer provides specifically for the task.

I havent used the epoxy Easton sent but I have been using an industrial strength 24 hour epoxy for years on all my arrows and I have used it on my Axis arrows with no problems. Use the best epoxy you can and let it set for the 24 hours or more ! Keep the tips tight and you're good to go. ;)
