BowTech BlackKnight >>>>-------------->

I got a chance to shoot a BlackKnight today;) SPPPEEEED is all I can say!! This one was a 70 pounder with 30 inch mods and I shot a 350 grain arrow through the chrono at 355 fps:D I then tried one of my own 452 grain aluminum arrows and it went 321[8D] Now, if i've figured this right, that would be 103.44 ft. lbs. K.E.:) That's enough to hunt trophy colosalmonsters!!!!!!!! Noise was not nearly as much as I thought it would be and though I didn't shoot more than about 10 arrows, accuracy seemed good for the bow being not set up for me. It will give your shoulder a work out though!!!

Did the low brace height result in the string hitting your arm more that higher brace height bows?

I'm supposed to shoot Ausie's Black Knight one of these days. He has some 30" modules so I can shoot it in my draw length. I'm sure I'll probably have one next year if I end up liking it. I'd go with a 60#er though, my tendonitis will surely thank me.

. Vic said he was wearing saftey goggles and everything shooting it through the chrono, LMAO.

I can't remember which it was, 412 or 420.

Jeff I found 500fps's reply about the Speed Pro's and his BK...I was curious too when I heard about someone trying it for giggles. Here's his response:

"I got 412 fps from my 04 BK, 71/29.25, and don't know the exact weight of the arrow....they are 29", 3-3" feathers, 65gr screw in point

Well, I took the string silencers off at the same time I switched out the modules, so there are 2 factors in the increase in speed, but I got 422 fps. The reason the increase wasn't more is that the 29" module AMO's at 29.25", and the 30" mods AMO'd at exactly dead nuts on 30", so you are only increasing draw length by 3/4"
"

WWAG.
Thats smoking:D
I get 280 out of mine set on 60lb 28" draw with a 400gr arrow thats plenty fast enough for me unless I can con someone else into pullin the arrows:D

Matt / Jeff

There is no way I would even contemplate using those ultra light arra's out on my BK.

Mike.

Hopefully I wont have the cluster I had today installin these windows so pencil in next Tuesday at Reds;)

Geeesh, that is fast. I had a chance to shoot one a few weeks ago and was definitely impressed with the speed. A nice, well built bow but a little too short on the brace for me to fall in love with. ;)

Well, the shop let me shoot it again today:D, with 29 inch modules!!! It threw a 350 grain arrow through the chrono at 344 fps!!! No, no arm slap,,, but your results night be different;) The draw length seemed to be very close to my needed 29 1/2 inches,,, maybe 29 1/4 so it's not very much longer than actual AMO length. Noise was about the same as my '04 Patriot Dually,,, which is really suprising!!! It's well balanced and recoil was more than my Patriot but I'm sure it's still less than some of my older bows. I'd sure like to shoot this one at distances to see just how it shoots!!!

Dont aim at nocks already in the target cause you will bust them ;)

Both my BK's have surprised the heck out of me on how well they actually shoot for a short brace bow.

Now if only I could find more time to shoot them:D

Plus get out hog hunting instead of the rabbits at work:)[:-]:D

Dang it wwag, you're gonna be the reason I get a divorce. [8D]:D

Depending on how much I like Ausie's BK, I'll probably buy one next year. I keep hearing of a BK Pro that will IBO over 360 fps. [:-]
I'm already saving up.

Sorry, I don't want to cause any problems with anyone's marriage;) but these bows just plain and simple ROCK THE HOUSE:D I've got enough bows right now, but I'm seriously thinking about "pushing the tolerance level" here at home[&:]
Hey, I'll bet if you had enough bows you could ,,, and might have to make a shelter out of them if need be:D Have a great weekend!!!!

Lean them together, wrap a poncho around them and POOF- Instant TeePee... Also doubles as a ground blind if you have the right poncho... :)
