I really like the beman ICS hunters. They're reasonably priced and very durable. The also have a good weight compromise, light enough for good speed and heavy enough for good penetration. I got total pass thru of a 325lb black bear with a mechanical head.

I would rephrase that thusly:

The BEST carbon arrows I have shot have an aluminum core. There are a few other good carbons out there. Not many, but a few :D
