Changing Rest

I am going to change rests from a TM style prong rest to the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter. My question is, will the change make my groups tighten up or will I not be able to notice much of a difference? I am having to adjust my prong rest all of the time to keep the fletching from hitting the rest. I have heard that the drop aways are easier to tune and clearance should not be an issue. Any advice would be great, thanks.

If fletching contact is an issue now, then I would say yes your groups will probably get better. If it's not then I don't think there will be any noticable difference, besides if you torque the bow a lil it doesn't affect the arrow as much.

Once it'e installed then all that fletching issue will be gone, you shouldn't have to touch your rest again .Your shooting should improve unless it's a form issue ,but it should still improve a bit anyway's.

I was in a very similar situation. I shoot my bow enough to know it wasn't form problem. I had made so many changes over the years that for whatever reason, my feathers were catching the rest. I just switched to the trap door and it's great. The one thing I did to make sure of better clearance was turn my knock 180 degrees so the single feather was up and the two were down. This made sure of my clearance and I'm shooting about 290 fps with a 2 inch grouping at 30yds. I'm happy with that.

You should be indexing your nocks, not moving your rest.

Depends if your problems were contact related or just shooting your average.
