Where do you cut your arrows?
 

I just got a new bow and new arrows as well. I was wondering where you cut off your arrows. My old arrows were cut off like 1/4 inch in front of the riser, but my new ones are cut an inch in front of the rest? I have a 27 inch draw and I now have 26" arrows. When I put broadheads on will they touch the riser? Thanks a lot -Sam

it is safer to keep your arrow in front of the riser

but I am one to throw caution to the wind and get mine over the shelf,
shorter =lighter=faster[8D]

Are you using a rest that provides an "overdraw" capability and allows your broadhead to be pulled past the front of your riser without contact with the riser? If not you may have problems and a batch of new arrows to sell, or you are in the market for a new rest that will allow you to shoot an arrow that is shorter than your draw-length.

He said he cut them 1 inch infront of the rest. I guess I'll screw a bh in and find out if they are too short. My older arrows are actually longer than these.

You should be fine with what you have right now. However, it doesn't hurt the arrows to be a bit longer so long as they are properly spined for your bow setup.
