That surprises me as well. If the Vipertec would be just a tad longer in axle to axle length then I think it would outsell all of the other models. However, since it does have a very short axle to axle length I can see where the Razortec and Xtec would appeal to more shooters

RE: hoyt and mathew sales

I have been wondering the same thing as you Eagle. I am torn between the outback and xtec. If only someone could make up my mind for me.

I am going to use mine for hunting only. But what sucks about the xtec is the fact that i dont know a whole lot about bow tuning and i think the cam and 1/2 thing is a bunch of **** when they say it requires no tuning!

Is there any advantage to a split limb bow??

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

I shot alot of arrows through both the XTEC and the Outback but IMO, the XTEC wins. The most rok solid shooting platform I've personally ever experienced.

In our shop X-Tec sales I would venture are at least 5 to 1 if not more over the ViperTec, and UltraTecs run neck and neck w/ the X-Tecs. Most of our customers are starting to realize super short bows are not all they are cracked up to be.

I also think the ViperTecs lack of speed/punch really hurts it's sales despite it's very pleasant shot.

Short bows period, except for the OB this year (because it's Mathews flagship), don't sell nearly as well for us as they used to.

Xtecs and vipertecs, are pretty much selling equally here.
I like the vipertec very much, but already have a razortec, which is close in ATA length.
So, i will probably buy an Xtec for 3d, longer ATA and more stable.

About as much as any other cam does. They technically can get of synch, but they also have a sweet spot where many prefer them slightly out of synch, for some folks they hold and shoot a bit better when slightly off.

Buy a good aftermarket string and cables and it's a moot point, just like witha dual or a single.:)
