What is a better arrow for me?
pearson predator
56 lbs 28" length 100 gr tips release loop TKO fall away I like 4" 4 degree vanes looking for carbon Have Carbon Express Terminator 60-75's now #010303, maybe an overkill? is there too much spine? They are listed as 10.7 gpi bare shaft. Thats a total of like 470-473 gpi all rigged up. I want good KE but looking to shed some weight, I have a bit much!!!, I am pushing near 9 gpi right now. I know I can drop into the 7's and feel confident. |
RE: What is a better arrow for me?
I have the same arrow's but I only plan on using them for moose season .I'm shooting a BowTech Patriot Dually at 62# and 28" draw and I shoot Gold Tip 3D pro's in 35-55's spline and that should be plenty for you as well, for hunting deer size animal's I'm not sure if I'd use them for moose or not .

RE: What is a better arrow for me?
If you like the Terminators, I would just suggest dropping down to the 45-60 size (and go w/ the selects) since you re likely overspined with the 60-75s.
IIRC, my 27.5" ( total " of shaft), 45-60s with three 4" dura-vanes and 100 grain point weighed around 414 to 415 grains. That is with a Easton Redline unibushing and G-nock. Easton A/C/C 3-39 is my first recommendation. If prcie is a killer than I would also look into Carbon Express size 200 shafts (standard or Select) or any of the Easton C2 carbons in the appropriate spine (460 up to 400...no stiffer than that). |
RE: What is a better arrow for me?
thinking about these Cabelas ones
http://cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...424&hasJS=true I admit I am confused. On carbon express website the 60-75's are listed as 10.7 both bare shaft and with vanes. Which is it? |
RE: What is a better arrow for me?
They look fine to me pearsonpredator! My 3D pro's total shaft weight with nock, insert ,vanes and fieldpoint's are 356grn's ,I'm not sure what the gpi is but these arrow's will work fine, but the price is pretty steep $189.00 per DZN CDN. I think that your looking at a bare shaft weight with the carbon Express.
