Tune A Nocks

Has anyone used these nocks? What are your impressions? My Axis 340's are due to arrive any day now and was thinking of trying these out. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Haven't used them, but they look like something I'd tinker with if they stay on the string reasonably well.

They are all I have used for 2 years. They stay on the string as good as any other I have tried. Since they are short you can have a smaller string loop to help your draw length. The size of them is the main reason I went to them.

The Tune-a-Nok's that I have won't work on an Axis shaft, but I haven't looked at any new offerings. The one I have on the wife's arrows mount up to a tapered nock end and rotate.....somewhat two piece snap fit type design. If that's the same thing then I have to say that they work just fine and I've had zero major issues with them. They seem a little tight on the string, but not too bad. Give 'em a go!:D

Not sure why, but when I paper tuned my 04 Patriot I had it punching holes at 5 &15 yards with Beman 340's and Easton 400's. When I tried my tune nock equipped arrows the bullet holes went to ugly tears/rips in the paper.
I decided 2-4 fps wasn't worth trying to figure out what was going on and just took them off.
If they would have bullet holed also i would use them for the the string loop reason listed above.

RE: Tune A Nocks

Dawg, I started using them last year, but its not that same brand and I think the're the greatest. The nock I use looks just like a regular nock and is inserted into the shaft as opposed to a regular nock that is glued to the outside of a shaft. I won't go back to a regular nock. I am always tring something new and expermenting, try it a few arrows and give it a try and find out. Good luck and let us know the results, Bobby ;)

P.S. Dave, how do you figure that happened and why?

I use them with mt Razortec and Goldtip arrows and they work great. I get good groups and picked up 3 fps but they will not work on the Axis arrows

The Tune-a Nock F/S fits the Easton Super Uni bushings. Do the Axis arrows not have this system?
