Bowstring/Cable Question

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like it's time to replace the string and cables on my 2yr old Parker UL35. I keep them waxed good and they aren't bad but they're starting to show some wear and i don't want to wait until late summer to change them out and have to retune everything at the last minute. I would like to get something that is pre stretched that won't creep after a period of time if that's possible. Where is a good place to order strings and cables and what type/material does everyone recommend using? Thanks!

RE: Bowstring/Cable Question

I've always had great luck with 450Premium. I'm not up to date on some of the newer materials. But 450Premium always worked great for me and had very little creep, especially if you put several tight twists in it.

Any good pro-shop should be able to make you one.

Seems like everyone leans towards Winners Choice, but I have also heard good things about Stone Mountain, check out their website.

RE: Bowstring/Cable Question

Do a search on Archerytalk.com and you will find a large list of great string makers. Several are also sponsors of the site. The consensus for materials lately has been 452X and TS1, with some others thrown in for good measure.

I have nothing but good things to say about WolfDen bowstrings. Pre-stretched in your choice of materials and colors. After about 50 shots to settle them in, set it and forget it. Mine haven't moved in two months of hard shooting on my Xtec.
