Carbon arrows
What type of carbon arrows do you guys shoot (If you do) i was using Easton carbon evolution but now i'm out and need to get new ones but can't seem to find these arrows anywheree (unless they just changed the name) I like to only shoot and practice with the exact same arrow (pet peeve type of thing)
Just wondering if you guys have any good recommendations on carbon arrows? Thanks |
RE: Carbon arrows
Well I shoot the game tracker CX hunters 300 series... they cost a bit more but the straightness is better. I was looking at trying the vapors
but I seen how tough these arrows are and would like the same from any others I buy. Have to agree to the pet thing. |
RE: Carbon arrows
easton carbon excels, 340, 407 grains, 30 inches.

RE: Carbon arrows
Beman Carbon Hunters - 28" w/ 100 grain point - 387 grains total

RE: Carbon arrows
From what I've heard you are correct on the name change, what was the Evolutions is now listed on the Easton site as C2's, 2 different camo's and I beleive the C2 Epics which are black.

RE: Carbon arrows
I shoot the CX300's.
Go to ebay and there are some dipped and crested raw shafts for $50.00 plus shipping. They are close outs from last year. I bought some earlier this year from this seller with no problems at all. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...675931665&rd=1 I doubt you will ever find them any cheaper than that. Mine weigh 402 grains with three feathers, nock, insert, & 125 grain head cut to 30 inches. There are some terminator hunter selects (45-60) for $44.95 if you want a heavier arrow than the CX will give you. I have not bought from this seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...676422317&rd=1 |
RE: Carbon arrows
Gold Tip, Gold Tip, and Gold Tip. AWESOME arrows and the cheapest you can find is on ebay. A guy on ebay I found fletches and cuts to size for around 55-60 dollars. I believe it is mnjarchery. They are really tough arrows and reasonably priced.

RE: Carbon arrows
It really depends on what you're going to use them for. I've used beman ics hunters for the past few years and I really like them as a hunting arrow. The super smooth finish is silent on the steel prongs of my quicktune. I tried some easton excels and they were not even close to quiet on the steel prongs, other than that they were fine. For 3d I switched to cxl's because they are lighter and bigger in diameter.
