I have a Tritium pin on the PSE moveable sight on my Mach 8.
It still glows in total darkness after eight years.

Bob,
I think they sell them through Cabelas, but I beleive they are called a "tritium" pin-I use the big one.

Like Rangeball said, they have a pretty big head, but I've owned 2 in the past 12 years or so, the first one lasted around 5 years, and I'm still on the 2nd one.

I use a 20,30,and 40 yard pin. I would have to admit, they would be kind of large for maybe even 30, let alone 40. At 20 yards they work fine, and when it's later, and the tritium is all you can see, it is a very small dot, that is very accurate. My sight is also one that can move up and down, and my 30 yard small sight pin is used as a roving pin, to set at any distance out to 80 yards, for whatever type of shooting I want to use my hunting bow for-say a cat across the field at 76 yards-I just have to try.

So for me, the big 20 yard pin is not an issue, but as Rangeball said, if it's your only pin, you might like something smaller.

This is the Truglo TFO pin I purchased-

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...d=&parentType=

I think this is the type NorthJeff is referring to-

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...navAction=jump

The TFO has the tritium contained in the base of the site so that the glow illuminates the fiber optic. The tritium pin is exposed, so you are using the actual tritium glow as a point of sight reference...

I won't nock TruGlo but I bought the 4000 sight 2 weeks ago, lucky for me my pro shop took it back. The pin bolts are perpendicular to the pin, when you tighten they rotate and you loose your adjustment. My proshop guy said he had just heard that this sight was getting discontinued so no problem.

Rangeball,

That's right, the original is the one I use. I had the finer one, but it wasn't bright enough and didn't last as long either-at least it lost it's glow after a couple of years in my bow parts box.

Bob, that is close, actually looks pretty decent if you have that type of site. What you are looking at is tritium in a case, not a fiber optic illuminated by tritium-big difference in brightness, also pin size though.
