Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
I was just browsing around on Keystone Country Store's sight and stumbled across this. Pretty salty, but here is the specs given:
A5 pin sight, 38mm guard with bubble level and 1.625" coated lens. Features micro adjust ball-click locking system, laser engraved scales and has .019 pins with 3X magnification. Here's a pic ![]() |
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Looks like a very rugged, highly adjustable sight. What was the price?
|
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Frank.
I think it is either the M50 or M38 and they cost $149.99 on Tox's web site. Of course the lens and ring are extra:) |
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
On Keystone Country Store's site, it was 179.99 including the lens and ring. not a bad deal really.

RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
I would tend to agree. Considering the looks of the design I think it would be an excellent site for 3D and even possibly hunting. I have always had a high opinion of Toxonics products and would not hesitate to buy another....I just need to convince our shop to get more in. ;)

RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Toxonics are excelent sights , I have a couple hybreds and an alluminator . Got a question for ya , wound't that bump you out of hunter class and you would have to shoot from the far stakes for 3d ? I thought 4 pins and no lenses were allowed for hunter class .

Thats the M50.... I have been using Toxonic sights for many years and I really like them..... You are correct ASA Hunter Class does allow magnification, but not allowed in womens hunter class.

These are the same as the sights they make for Hoyt (MicroElite). Awesome sights but try before you buy. We are seeing issues with them having enough windage (left) adjustment on some bows.

JeffB,
I have had this problem on my Patriot D/C (Not enough windage "left" adjustment). Have any ideas you always seem to be right on. Thanks, maccjo |

RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
I have an old Tru Glo. A new sight is on my list of up grades and I was thinking about Copper Johns Dead Nuts or Spot Hog Bare Bones.

ORIGINAL: Maccjo JeffB, I have had this problem on my Patriot D/C (Not enough windage "left" adjustment). Have any ideas you always seem to be right on. Thanks, maccjo Heh..I don't know about being "right on"...the better half doesn't seem to think so ;) More like "never right"! ![]() I've done fine with the Impact Cosmic, Scout Mountain Bighorn Slider and HHA Optimizer Light 5000 on the 2004 singles and the I have the HHA on a P40 DC with plenty of adjustment left. Spott Hoggs & Copper Johns seem to have plenty of adjustment as well for the singles or duals. Hope that helps :D |

On my Hogg-it I had to take the sight ring off and put it on the left side. I will take a pic so you can see what I mean. |
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Here are 2 pics that I think will show you what I was talking about.
The 1st one is of the Hogg-it on my 03 Pat as you can see the pin guard is on the right of the bar ![]() Here is the Hogg-it on my 04 BK as you can see I have moved the pin guard to the left of the bar. ![]() |
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
I've got the Mag 50 on my Ultratec. Works good. First time using a scope and really don't notice a difference. Probably just me. The lense can be removed easy enough to shoot with out. I do have a minor problem that I have to contact Tox on, the lockdowns do come loose. I've shot Tox sights for 4 years now and still like them. I'm using a Hybrid V for hunting still.

RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Frank, Jeff,
Remember those old ProLine pin sights ? I have one I bought back in 94' in excellent to mint condition. Talk about a massive brute of a sight. It must weigh over a pound. It makes most of today's pin sights look puny. Paid $140.00 for mine in 94' which was expensive back then. Got the top model with micro adjustments Might just have to buy myself a new hunting bow to mount it on. :D Sag. |
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Absolutely Sag. In the mid 90's Pro-Line had the best sights on the Market. Heavy as an anvil, but they were sweet. I had 3 different ones, all w/ the micro adjust. I literally remember the day we got the original Tru-Glo pins and I switched the brass pins over to them.
|
RE: Anyone seen the new sight from Toxonics?
Jeff,
I knew you would remember. ;) Not saying you and I are old, just not that long ago. :D Done the same thing; switched from the brass over to the glo pins. Too bad, they're no longer available in a lightweight version. I had mine mounted on my Hoyt Superstar. Can you imagine how much that outfit weighed ? ;) Sag. |
