Axis arrow speed

I currently shoot goldtips. Has anyone switched from goldtips to axis arrows and chronographed the speed? Would I pickup more speed with a stiffer arrow?

Axis are heavier........you'll lose some speed !

Generally speaking CBM is correct. However, in my case when switching from the Beman ICS 340s to Axis 340s my arrow weight stayed roughly the same. Don't forget that the insert weight on the Axis is less than that of the other ICS style carbons.

I made the same switch as PABowhntr. I actually gained about 2 fps. from the beman 340's to axis 340's.

I just got done shooting mine through a chrony about an hour ago.My ics hunter 400's shot 289 and the axis 340's shot 279.I also shot a game tracker 300 and it hit 306.The axis shafts appear to be very consistant though.
