Default Breaking in an OLD string?

I took off my broken-in Zebra string to put a few twists in it and bring my solo cam into proper rotation since the string had stretched (or is it creeped?) a bit.

Now that the old string is back on the bow at a "new" length and more twists, does it take a while for it to settle in? I shot it the other day and was pretty erratic and the peep kept rotating more than it used to. Any thoughts or advice?

Mouse, how many twists did you have to put in your old string to bring it back?
Usually when I add twists to my main string, it takes like 2 or 3 shots, and everything is settled in. When I make strings for my bows, I make them with alot of twists to start with(about 2 twist per inch of string length) After 200 shots, I add 4 or 5 twists to the main, and thats it until those strings come off the bow. A twisted string is a stronger string. Plus, more twists help keep your peep from rotating as much.

Big C:

I only put in two twists to bring the cam back to where it should be. One twist at each end of the string. I will get a chance to shoot again tomorrow. It could be that the erratic shots are just form problems as I am a little rusty.

Thanks for the reply.
