can you repair carbon arrows

While practicing I hit the nock end of an arrow. It broke the nock and the carbon arrow has about 3/4 inches of it starting to splinter. Will super glue or something similar work to repair it? I would just use it for practice if repairable.

No don't try it. It won't work.

Definitely not---if you have any 'extra length' on the shaft, just remove the vanes--cut off the damage part and refletch--but make sure the arrow doesn't come behind the forks at full draw.
If the arrow is already at its minimum length (for yourself) then the game is over--unfortunately.
Use only as a stake for your turkey decoys--or find someone at your pro shop who has a 'shorter' draw length than yourself and make a donation, you'll be helping a fellow archer/hunter.

Sure you can. Just invest millions of dollars in the equipment necessary for carbon fiber manufacture.;);)

I wouldnt try it, you could end up with a blown up bow and carbon splinters in your hand and arm or face, not fun.

yeah definitely not a good idea that arrow could shatter in your face and the outcome would probably not be fun to say the least. Carbon arrows are either almost perfectly straight or shattered and totally useless, there really is no in between like there is for aluminums.

Don't even try, there could be damage that you can't see. It's not worth the possible consequences.

Please, for your own safety, and the safety of anyone who may be near you while you are shooting, do not try to fix cracks in carbon arrows with superglue.[:'(]

The myth persists that carbon arrows will never bend or become damaged, and will last forever unless you see visible damage. They are, like other arrows; degradable, eventually expendable, tools to use while they last. If they are damaged by other arrows, shooting and pulling them out of hard targets, etc., they will have to be replaced. It is getting to seem kinda like "renting beer." [8D]
