Bow Quiver suggestions
 

I sold my Alpine Soft-loc to try something new. I liked the soft-loc, but the mounting bracket and quiver are bulky and pretty heavy.

Anything new come out? I would like to go with a 3 arrow quiver this time as well. No need to carry more in my opinion. Anyone try the new Alpine quiver? Seems lighter and smaller in design.

Have you looked at the new 4 arrow detatchable quiver from bowtech?I just got one and it is a great quiver!It is very light and has a lot of adjustment.It also comes with a extra mountin bracket to attatch to your treestand.The little t screw that attatches the quiver to your bracket stays attatched to quiver so you do not have to worry about droppin out of your tree when you remove it from your bow and attatch it to bracket on stand.It is also very quiet when attatched to bow while shootin if you prefer to leave it on your bow.Anyway just thought you might like to try one:).

Though not new I personally prefer the Kwikee 3 arrow quiver for hunting. It is probably the smallest and lightest quiver out there. Plus it uses the usual Kwikee detachment system. Price is usually between $20-$25 most places.

I'm still looking to get an Alpine Bear Claw with the extra treestand bracket. I held one, although not out of the package, and it seems to be very light. I've heard it's not as sturdy on the bow as some others, but it's designed for easy quiver removal and treestand hunters in particular.

I had the Bowtech quiver and sold it. It's rock solid and fully adjustable, but the attachment system made it clumsy in the woods. It has a single plastic wing nut that comes totally off of the quiver....not an option when sitting in a tree in the dark. It seems like a great fixed quiver though.

I've been looking for a compact 4 arrow quiver and basically gave up and bought a Kwikee Combo that holds 4 arrows. Bigger and bulkier than I like, but at the time it was the best I could find. While cruising through our local Bass Pro the other day I ran across THIS ONE. It's much more compact and lightweight than the Kwikee that I bought, so I may try to pawn the kwikee off on a buddy of mine and get this one instead. For a 3 arrow quiver, I don't think you can go wrong with the Kwikee quick 3. I just want to be able to carry one more arrow with a blunt or Judo in addition to my 3 regular broadheads.

I've got the Alpine Bear Claw. Very light, kind of bulky, and it holds 5 arrows, not 3. So far I really like it. It's detatchable, just like the Soft-Loc, but about $25.00 cheaper.

Yep........Catquiver I.
The day I got rid of a bow mounted quiver was probably the happiest archery day of my life. I hate them.[:'(] period.

The Catquiver I just rocks, especially if you hunt mostly out of loc-on stands.
It's super light Doubles as a small day pack carrying the essentials, protects your fletching even in the hardest rain. Simply strap it to the tree next to your seat and everything is at your reach.
Your bow will be better balanced, probably quieter.....and if your like most ,chances are you take your quiver off anyway in stand.
With my climbing stand I just strap it to the frame when I hike in.

I would go with a Kwikee 3 arrow quiver. They are well built and don't rattle and securely hold broadheads and heavy hunting arrows, just make sure you get the right size holder depending on whether your shafts are skinny or fat.

I also have a Catquiver II I believe it is. I agree they rock, but sometimes I just don't feel like lugging all that stuff to the stand with me. Some days I just want to take the bare minimum so I grap my fanny pack, clip on the bow quiver and go. I have the additional Kwikee brackets mounted at all of my atands anyway, so when I get in the tree, I just take it off the bow and click it in there anyway.

Try a bohning lynx 4, in hardwoods green.
It is a no nonsense quiver, that gets the job done.
You can use mechanical heads or fixed with it, the way it is designed, it also comes with 2 types of arrow grippers, for carbon or aluminum.
The kwikkee's are great quivers also, check out the kwik 3 or the combo 4.

I'm a Catquiver guy too !! I have a CQ III though ! If you take a pack anyway and take your quiver off .........you just can't beat one ! I don't like bow mounted quivers either ......but it's just a personal preference !

However.......when mule deer hunting last year ......on a stalk I had to do a lot of belly crawling ..........the catquiver 3 upper neck pad kept me from being able to keep my head up (or forced it down I should say) and kept nocking my hat off (a real pain) ! So this year......it'll be my kwickee 3 going on the stalks and the Catquiver going to the stands ! ;)

Catquiver II fan here. After you use it for a season, the notion that you might clip a bunch of arrows right on your bow will seem preposterous.

It keeps your fletching dry, it is much easier to lower from a tree stand than a bow with arrows on it, it stores your gear, it mounts easily to a tree once in the stand, it takes weight and possible vibration off your bow, it helps assure that you never bend an arrow, it attaches easily to the back of a tree stand for packing long distances, etc. etc. It might be the best single purchase I ever made- mine is over 10 years old now.

So what is it going to be MM? It looks like you have a three way tie. Alpine, Catquiver or the Kwikee?
