Bow tweaking...

Let's say you are presented with a bow. Limb bolts are fully seated, cam is dead on proper timing orientation. However, the ATA is 5/16" too long and the BH is 1/4" too short.

What would you do to bring everything back in spec?

Put 6 twists in the string and 4 twists in the cable............

remeasure:)

repeat;)

Call BT and tell them to get their SH!T straight:D (for RA & SA, just so you know where I stand ;) )

I'd remove the string and cable to measure them to see where/why the discrepency. Are they up to spec?

And I assume you're talking about a single cam.....

Rack, cable controls ATA and Brace, string cam rotation?

DC, forgot to disclaim, it's not a Bowtech :)

Todd, that's what I'm inclined to do. Makes sense that if the cable and string are twisted back to spec measurement then reinstalled, you can bypass Rack's hair pulling out adventure :) Yes, it's a single cam, Diamond Hornet, to be exact :)

Your pickle sounds easier to jar than mine.
I have a 36" bow (mathews z-light) which measures 37" ata.
It's brace is supposed to be 6 1/2" and measures 6 5/8".

I'm not sure how to get it back to 36", 6.5" bh. Maybe I'd wind up w/ a 36" 7" brace:D!

As good as it's shooting I just decided to leave it be. It doesn't get used much anymore anyways. (my back ups- back up)

Is the bow reaching the max draw weight?

If your asking me, no. Mine only reaches 67#'s.
I had my limbs replaced a few years ago and just accepted the lower poundage as the poundage of the limbs I was given. I realized later that the cables had a lot to do with it, but didn't really care to mess with it after that. ( too many other bows to fool with:D, and it was shooting good)

Walks, Don't know, I'm too cheap to buy a scale to use every now and then... No local shop, so can't use theirs. Guess I could stop by the bait shop and try theirs out :)

Let's assume it doesn't. Then what?
