Silencing launcher style rests

One tip I haven't seen on this sight for silencing launcher arms is hockey tape. The stuff is fabric-reinforced and "tough as nails." I practice year-round and am still shooting what I applied last spring. It is easiest to install with the rest off the bow, but if you split it length-wise, go slow and keep minimal overlap it can be applied fairly easily with the rest in place. With heat shrink tubing, I often had trouble getting uniform constriction at the bend of the arms and didn't like any material thick enough to change my point of impact.

That sounds like a good idea. One question for you. What arrows are you shooting? I shoot gold tips, and as everyone knows, are notorious for eating rest silencers up. You think it will work with them?
