What will this hurt?

I'm not sure I'll be able to set my VBG fall way rest up to where the center of my arrow will be in the center of my berger button hole. It will probably have to be set up about 1/2" high to get the full fall away function of the rest to work. Will this be a problem?

Can you move the rest back towards you so it clears the shelf?

Not without putting some kind of overdraw bracket on it. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I just noticed they sent me the model that fits a <gasp> Mathews Legacy. [:'(][:'(][:'(];)

RE: What will this hurt?

When I talked to the owner of the VBG fallaway, this is exactly what he reccomended doing. As long as your nock is setup to compensate it really shouldn't make that much difference.Of course it will make for a little less level nock travel.

If you notice any problems in tuning, you may want to try a slightly stiffer spine arrow but I really doubt that it will make that much difference.

Also make sure the rest is setup to hit FLAT on the shelf. This was something else he advised.

My VBG fallaway should be in tomorrow and I will be able to put it on my new Xtec this weekend so I may be able to add more then.

Also I really don't think you want the rest that fits the LEgacy. It is designed for the roller cable slide.I really don't know what all the differences are but I doubt it is what you need.

Try giving them a call if you have any more questions.

There number is on there web site. www.vitalbowgear.com

Well, mine came with both the cable slide and the other part that is supposed to be used on a Legacy. Instructions for both were also included in the box. Maybe they are making a universal one now?

Will this be a problem?
Looks like it already is. Why would you want to set a rest up against the norm, just to make it work? It would drive me batty every time I shot the bow wondering if its effecting my groups. Could that 2" group I just shot be a 1" if I was not a 1/2" high on my rest?[:o] I would think there would always be a bit of doubt in the back of my mind. Just one more distraction when I don't need to have the complication in my train of thought. [&:]

I'd imagine you'd have to make adjustments to tiller to keep the bow's limb action balanced. Otherwise the bow will rock back and forth during the draw and shot. Level nock travel? Forget it. No way that's gonna happen with the arrow nocked that high.

I wouldn't use a rest that forced me to use an oddball setup like that.
