Well,I did it this time.I called the shop to check on my new arrows and to ask about a bow for my daughter and while having idle conversation,I asked how long it would take to get an Xtec and if I could get a co-op bow.The shop owner said sure and asked if I wanted 60# limbs and a 28" draw module.What was I going to say?At the price he shot me,there was no way I could pass up the bow,was there?



So how am I going to tell the wife after she hinted just yesterday that I didn't need another bow.[:o]

I think I am calling the flower shop tomorrow.[8D]

I hate to tell you, but I think it is going to take more than flowers. You may want to consider something that sparkles too, especially if she "hinted" that you did not need another. You are still in the dog house, if you are lucky.

Just swap it out and pretend nothing ever happened.

If she is really on the ball and notices something, you may get away with this:

"New Bow? No, I just added on some sims riser extension vibration modules, looks cool right. Got them real cheap on E-Bay"


But I am blessed with a healthy population of dumb Blondes - so almost anything works:D

That might work Rack but I am not switching out, just adding one for hunting and keeping the Ultratec for 3-d.


I actually told her after she got home from work.I made up this story about I HAD to get it now or he might give the co-op away to someone else and I would have to pay quite a bit more this fall.

I think she bought it but she got on the net after and for some reason she has all these price list of cruises laying on the desk now.Hmmm,looks like the bow will cost me a couple grand.:eek:


Oh well,atleast I will have a new bow.

:D Hay Tfox! Tell here your right sweety :) I did not really need another bow! But unfunately! I had already bought this one before you told me i did not need another bow, I just had not picked it up yet, and the salesman will not take it back NO MATTER WHAT;) So i am stuck with it!;) P.S I know it problely would not work for me ether[:'(]

I would hide, hide, hide and also intercept the credit card bill. I did a good job until it came in and she ask about $300.00 for Ang & Ach (Angler and Archer). Then beg forgiveness. It always works best.

I think she has let it slide because she got a new used vehicle and I sold her old one and used some of the money from the old car to buy it.She thought she was going to pay bills with the extra cash.[:'(]I quess I took care of that.


We are still on speaking terms but she does seem to be more hatefull than usuall.[&:]I really don't know why I had to get her another vehicle.Hers only had 196,000 miles on it.Dang American products.;)


Really the bow was payback for me.

Theres your answer. If she can't drive a car with 196,000 miles, then you cant shoot a bow with 196,000 arrows.

Whats wrong with the dog house? Just think, you can fix it up any way you want, without input from her. You can hang all your trophy heads anyplace you want, throw your clothes on the floor if ya like and not have to hear "why do I always have to pick up after you?" everytime you turn around. And as for buying a new bow? U have a place to now store it without worry she'll sell it on ya.

Well, you already got hooked for a cruise! Next time you'll have to be much more sneaky.

Now do yourself a favor and think ahead - cause we don't want to hear you whinning again..............DO NOT LET HER PLAN THE CRUISE DURING HUNTING SEASON. Get a grip on this NOW or you'll be sorry!! You plan the cruise where ever she wants, you just pick the time.

smyth,too late.she is looking at October because the kids will have a break in school and that is when she will get her christmas club check.So it looks like I will be spending at least 1 week during hunting season on the seas.Well,it could be worse.[8D]
