RE: need good stabilizer
I just bought the 10.5 inch carbon Doinker for my Hoyt UltraTec... I've only had it about 2 weeks but have been pleased with its performance so far.

This is just my .02 cents but you really should try to shoot any stabilizer you can before you buy it. I am sure that you will get many good suggestions from this sight but it will really come down to what you think your bow needs. By shooting them you will be able to determine if you need more/less weight, or an hydralic style like the stealth or a light rubber filled like the GKF or something like an AEP that has adjustable weights or a carbon style. There are a heck of alot of choices out there. BUt I recommend you shoot what you can. You maybe suprised that your initial choice may not be what is best for your bow. JMHO.[8D]

RE: need good stabilizer
This comes under the heading of "for what it's worth." I shoot a Martin bow. I added a GKF short stabilizer to my bow because I thought it was the thing to do. I noticed no difference whatsoever in the level of shock or noise. My bow was quiet and shock free before I added any accessories. If your bow is quiet now, I'd leave it alone and spend the money on some arrows.

RE: need good stabilizer
Several great models on the market here a few great models to check out.
Trophy Ridge Exchanger Vibracheck Isoflex Stealth SIMS Modular Stabilizer I really like the Trophy Ridge Exchanger Hunter for a small light weight hunting stabilizer. It does a good job of removing the shock & is very light in weight. Try several & see what you like the best with your bow. |

RE: need good stabilizer
I have always had good luck with the Doinker line of stabilizers.

RE: need good stabilizer
I use the GKF tranq. shorty on many of my bows...depending on balance, usage, etc.. I find that its weight and length are ideal for certain bows and certain setups. I thought it was at least average in the noise/vibration reduction department. Slap on a regular Sims enhancer on the front of it and you definitely will notice a difference.
