Am I underspined???
Set up is 29.5 inch draw 71lbs out of a cam 1/2.
Goltip 5575 @ 27.5 inches at 380 grains yields on average thru chrony 289.7 FPS and 71# KE. Goldtip 5575 @ 29 inches at 392 grains yields on average thru chrony 285.6 FPS and 71#KE. Are the 5575's spine enough for this set up? Also I will be picking up an extrme vft this weekend. @ 70# will the 5575's be underspined on it? Should I buy some 7595's or is that over doing it? |

RE: Am I underspined???
My personal preference is to always err on the stiff side, especially if you'll be flinging broadheads. Just seems to work better for me.

RE: Am I underspined???
I would shoot the 7595's

RE: Am I underspined???
I would suggest the 7595's also.

RE: Am I underspined???
5575's 26.75"arrow 61.5ft/lbsKE = slightly underspinned. I don't even think the camo 5575's will work for you, you need the 7595's. It'll only be 20 grains and you'll hardly lose any speed.

RE: Am I underspined???
I just ran you through TAP and show the following:
The 5575 is way to weak even at 27.5" The 7595 @ 28" appears to be a very good match. With the VFT you will also be glad to have the stiffer arrow. My PRO 40 requires a stiffer arrow than the norm. |
RE: Am I underspined???
Thanks for the replys everyone. I will pick up a dozen 7595's this weekend. Thanks again
