An arrow with a higher FOC tends to be less affected by wind and is less likely to hit at a slight angle. The straighter an arrow hits the better the penetration. I would also guess that the arrow is less affected by glancing blows off ribs or other bones, when it has a higher FOC.

That is another good point straightarrow.An arrow with a good amount of foc will want to continue to travel straight forward instead of being glanced off course.Of course overall weight plays a role in this but good foc will help.



And yes,feathers will increase foc quite a bit.No question about it.
