I'm looking to buying a hoyt supertec or PAT DuallyCAM bow in june just looking for any feed back good or bad and, major differences of these two bows. I will be using the bow for hunting (stalk & treestand) and sometimes 3D shooting.

I have actually never shot a Hoyt Supertec now that I think about it?.....HMmmm.
Hoyt makes a great bow so whatever I tell you about the BowTech Patriot Dually make sure that you also shoot the Supertect to see what you think.
Both bows have very aggressive draw cycles (I did DRAW a Supertec spiral cam version)

I got to play with the Patriot Dually at the ATA show.....actually wayyyyyyyyyy more than I expected![:-]
Here's what I can tell you about it.
Has a hugely forgiving brace height for a speed bow. The Patriot Dually is 7 5/8" brace vs. 6" or so for the Supertec?

The Pat picks up weight very quickly, carries it almost to the end of the draw cycle into a narrow defined valley. Wall is EXCELLENT for a dual cam.
because of the narrow valley, correct draw length is crucial to keep you tight against the wall at full draw.

The bow is BLAZING fast.....and the one I was shooting was actually a bit faster than advertised. I weighed and measured the bow at the show, and at 29" draw (29 1/4" AMO length) and 70# that bow shot 330fps all show long with a measured 350gr arrow! (One shot registered 332fps for me although I was really pulling hard into the wall as I am a 30" draw length)
This was a bow right out of the box, no timing, tweaking etc with the full hush kit and eliminator buttons!
Not sure if this particular bow was an exception as it was the only one I set up to shoot, but with 30" mods I would expect an honest 340fps or more at 350grs. Incredible with what amounts to nearly an 8" brace height.

Noise level was mild........obviously it's not the quietest bow in the BowTech line-up basically by design, but noise was better than my 2003 version. Bare bow shot reaction was mild, with nothing more than a dull quick thud into the hand. Vibration was NIL. (The new string cable material for 2004 Brownell's TS1 was impressive) extreme parallel limb design really keeps things mild, and when you consider the energy that the bow is putting out it's actually pretty darn amazing.

On paper I would give the Patriot the definite edge as a hunting bow due to its much higher brace height......it will absolutely do some respectful 3D shooting as well. The only course that I "cleaned" last season was with my Patriot Dually.

In any event you must shoot each to make your own decision......neither bow draws as easy as some of the other bows in their respective line-ups, but if you want power and don't mind the extra effort it takes to draw, I can personally vouch for the Patriot Dually .........the reward in power generated is unmatched for the forgiving package that it comes in.

What can I say? I have owned both bows briefly and I concur with Matt's comments. Both have aggressive draw cycles but both have other features to compensate for it. As Matt suggested, the brace height on the Dually makes the bow more forgiving though the drop stop on the Supertec spiral can be removed thus increasing the valley and making it more shootable.

Then you also have to consider the dual cam vs. hybrid issue.......

Tough call but I think I would go Patriot DC as well.
