Drop Away Rest Poll

I am sure this has been done before in one form or another but I may possibly be in the market for a new drop away rest and am curious to what others are shooting. For those of you shooting a drop away rest, what are you using? I have used the Muzzy Zero Effect, MBG Trapdoor and am currently tinkering with the GKF Mirage but would like to try something different.

Suggestions?

Vital Bow Gear. Great Rest and it holds the arrow in place when the bow is undrawn. Great for stalking.

Well, I'm probably the drop away nut on here. I have played with the MZE, the Trophy Taker, the NAP 4000 drop away and the DropZone.

Here these are in order from my most liked to least:

NAP 4000 (solid, flawless performance. I am not getting rid of it. Its is now affectionatly referred to as Ol' Faithful:D)
Trophy Taker (currently tinkering with and its a tack driver so far)
MZE (one of the best I've used, except it makes your life difficult getting a quiver on it.)
Drop Zone (was a little heavy and bulky for my likes. If they would put that rest on a diet, I would probably buy one again to try)

Dang Russ.
I just picked up my Black Knight was gonna order another one of them Plainsmans to put on it:D

Guess I will have to slap the MZE on it till you start taking orders again;)

My vote goes to the MZE. I honestly have never tried a different one since I got that 2 years ago. I know there are some good rests out there, but for me and what I do...I honestly can't see there being anything better.
PA, you have used one...so I'm not sure that's what you wanted to see as a reply.

Muzzyman.....2pc quiver...makes life easy;):D

I've been very happy with the drop zone. Very quiet and reliable.

I just bought a Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter and love it, Easy to setup(even though I had some help) quick to tune, and you never have to worry about an arrow falling off your rest at the moment of truth when that record book buck walks by.

VERY nice looking bow Ausie[8D] Not nearly as reflexed looking as I thought it would be, given the 5 3/4 inch brace height!!! I'll bet it shoots very well and will suprise many when they get to test them out;) Good luck with your new lightning bolt!!!!!!:D

I just put My zero effect back on My Darton. To many new arrows and vanes I want to play with this yearl and the WB just won't cut it with them. I have a Trap door but don't personaly care for it. I was considering the Nap drop away or one of the golden key rests. I need another for my 2nd hunting bow and the zero effect just doesn't work well on it.

Thanks for the help guys. It seems I am a bit torn at this point. That Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter looks appealing but then so does the Trophy Ridge DropZone.

...and ofcourse that Plainsman would be nice but since I can't order any....:D

I did not see many GKF dropaways mentioned. What gives?

I've had good luck with both the Shakey Hunter and NAP 4000s on my BowTechs.

Muzzy Zerro Effect as number one , followed by a Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter . While GKF makes an excelent prong rest {probably the best ever} IMO their dropaways suck bad , the marage is a peice of junk , the TKO may be a good rest [havent tryed that one ] but its a copy of the trophy taker . Half the world is on their staff so Im waiting to get pummeled . Their fallaways still suck ! The trap door is not a bad rest for target but noway would it go in the woods with me . The NAP 4000 is not a bad rest either , kind of a microadjust trophy taker .

Just curious as to why you think this? My mirage has performed flawlessly and I really like it. It seems to be built tough and has taken a beating from me. I destroyed half of my sights this year going through the brush but the rest has made it through it all.

How about you Frank, what have been your experiences with it?

IL_BOW_MAN When you adjust centershot the spring has a tendancy to come out . Very dificult to adjust height , which inturn adjusts spring tention at the same time , to sum it up , its poorly designed . I could not get away from vane contact either .
