Got a '03 Patriot Dually...
 

Well after getting the '02 Patriot on ebay and getting it all setup. Shot it for a bid and didn't really like the front heavy feel. So I was going to have to back weight it... and liked the '03 grip alot better.. so I was gonna have to get a custom grip if I wanted that feel. So I decided to throw it up on Ebay. Got a pretty decent amount for it... and bought a '03 Pat dually from a guy that delivered it to the ATA show. Shot it last night and all I can say is WOW. The short valley and stiffer draw will take a little getting used to.. but I think I can handle it.

Can't wait to see the final version of the new Bowtech bow for '05.

The '03 Dually is a great bow, I'm not replacing it anytime within the next few years for hunting!!! I slid the V-blocks down to the limb pockets and installed Limb Savers and cat whiskers on the string and cables. Couldn't be happier with the speed, accuracy and silence with my heavy hunting arrows;) If you can get one for a reasonable price used, you're getting a lot of bow IMO!!!!:D

I already posted about it elsewhere...

But here goes again.. At the ATA show one of the guys had a prototype that was about the length of a pro40 w/ the brace height of a Black Knight. Was shooting 67# w/ a 28.5" draw and was shooting 358fps w/ the "high" letoff and 362fps w/ the "low" letoff.

I don't know anything else.. just what I saw. I was in shock.

Hi guys,My local shop has a 03 pat dually(left over)he said i could have it for $490.00 i thought that was a good price what do you guys think.

Don't mean to be stupid, but did they say that was a prototype for an 05 model, or was that Bowtech R&D play around after work model??

Either way those are impressive #s. and my wife will be impressed with me again, come next dec. :D..............fishon

I asked about the bow again yesterday (saw it 1st on Thurs) and he told me that it was going to be an '05 model...

It was an unfinished 2004 BK had DC1 mods. 29.25" AMO, 69 pounds, 349.9 grain arrow. 360 FPS w/ 65% mods. Verified by Norb Mullaney. Bow did 365 w/ lower letoff mods.

Yup, it was an unfinished 04 Riser w/ 04 Dual cams & some 02 Limbs he had laying around that were the correct deflection.

I think what Kevin meant was he'd like to get the BK up to 370 for 2005. That's what he told me Saturday night at dinner anyway.

OK .. I apologize.. I just looked at the pics of the '04 BK and it's longer than what I was thinking it was supposed to be. My mistake.

Well then.. how did he get it to shoot that fast (10fps faster than IBO w/ 1" shorter draw) if everything is "stock" parts? Inquiring minds want to know.

I asked one of the other guys that I saw Sunday... and he was the one that told me it was going to be a new bow for '05.. maybe we misunderstood each other or something. Thanx for the info.

I can only guess that the limbs he had on the bow were shorter than stock and probably the reason that it would only go to 29 1/4 AMO draw length,,,,,, absolutely perfect for me:D;) I'll volunteer to do some serious behind the scenes testing!!!!!!;):D
