Thanks!

Were you flinging any of these through a chrony? If so, what kind of speeds was it delivering?

Will Norb be doing a bow report? If so, do you guys get a copy you can share before the magazine decides to print it?

Pinwheel

I think Merlin needs to change the name of that new bow since HCA has a bow out for 2 years now called the Max-Xtreme which I believe is a trademark name.

The "Bowboogers" silencers were a riot.

Ok, what the heck is a bow booger? Don't even tell me that some company came out with green silly puddy that you squish in various nooks on the bow???

Hee hee. Not for the riser. For the String. Courtesy of BowTech. We were handing them out at the show for dealers to try and give us some feedback. Comes in a can that looks like a copenhagen tin. It's sticky/gushy as hell. Silicon based. You make it into a small ball about the size of a marble and put it on your string. Stuff is goofy but it WORKS. The slogan was "Snot your Average String Silencer".

Rangeball-

Norb will be doing a tech write up, yes. I don't know the details of when or if we will get a "preview" as yet. For that matter I don't even know exactly when it will be coming out. Nope, had no chrony nearby, I think Bowtech was hoarding them all to play their speed games.

BigPapaScout--

Merlin wasn't aware of the Max-Xtreme name being used by High Country or anyone else when we named the bow----we based the bow on the Max 3000 riser, and threw in the "Xtreme" because it is much shorter and more radical-looking than the Max 3000. That's it. Very hard to run around with a list of every bow model made by every company over the past decade, and there are many others out there whom have used the same name over the years if you think about it for a second---in fact PSE has a Nova, and Merlin had one before it. No biggie there, no lawsuits or gripes. How about the Phoenix by Parker---it was also used by Horizon. Mathews Featherlite was used by Alpine also around the same time--etc etc, etc.. Not even worth my time really to think of any more but there are many. I don't think Spencer will have a cow over something like that to be honest, and I don't see why anyone else should either. If the Merlin Max-Xtreme takes off, HCA may gain an increase in sales due to "mistaken identity!"

Frank--

Yep, everyone was busting a gut over the "Bowboogers"! Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

LMAO
Bow Boogers, snot your average string silencer. LOL
If it will work on the string I dont see why it couldnt be used inthe nooks and crannys on a riser to absorb some vibe and noise.

pinwheel
I dont see why it would be a problem using the name either I just thought you would like to know there was already a bow on the market named Max-Xtreme
BTW that is a good loking bow just a little too heavy for my taste

LMAO---Boogers stick like crazy!![8D]

BigPapascout-

I actually found out about it about two weeks ago, but thanks for the input. No biggie, we don't care if High Country has the same name, and I suppose they don't care one way or the other either.

Thanks for the compliment about the bow also---4lb doesn't bother most and in fact the Merlin is right in the same mass-weight range as most other bows-- many bows on the market are between 3lbs 10oz and 4lbs 6oz--- You must be shooting a carbon riser?? Whatever floats the boat, that's why we all have so many choices. Good shooting, Pinwheel 12
