The Newest Limbsaver Design

Here are the latest version of the Limbsavers to come out. I stumbled accross this on the realtree forum, This is a quote from and email from a Sims employee.

"Everything is being introduced at the Archery shows. What we have are “ultras” and a new kit for crossbows for both the split and solid style. The ultra reduces limb shock and vibration by a minimum of 80% and reduces noise by up to 20 db. They are built differently to help with more movement of your bow as well. Our new line will out perform all of our competition and is a major improvement over our previous limbsaver designs. If you give me your address I will be more than happy to send you out a 2004 archery catalog. "

Kind regards

Exactly Muzzyman88, That is precisely what I thought when I saw it for the first time, I can't imagine how much these things quiet a bow, I have the Stealth ones on my bow now and they work great, and if these work better than those, wow[:o]

Also on the same thread someone also noted that these limbsavers come in camo colors along with black like the old ones.

Definitely another piece of equipment I will be investing into. I would love to put these back to back with previous years' models as well as the Vibrablocks to see how they perform.

Always make sure to refer to these new products as "NEEDS" to your wives fellas. never refer to them as "I want" or "I would like to Have":D

I know there is a big difference between a bow without and with the original limb savers, but I gotta wonder how much better the newer designs work than the original? Probably minutely incremental at best, not enough to warrant replacing the original style on a bow, I suspect...

I'm guessing here, but I wouldn't think there is much (if any) performance difference to this new design.

BUT! Look at it from the manufacturing point of view! You are now using 15-20% LESS material in the "mushroom cap" because of those radius cutouts and probably charging the same amount if not more for this new product! Make a new mold, use 15-20% less material, and charge the same. Nice deal for them-
