Getting my girlfriend a BowTech!!!!

Hey guys,

My girlfriend is really wanting to get into bowhunting, well, hunting period! She has shot bows before, but nothing too serious. Well, her b-day is comming up in two months and I am thinking about getting her a BowTech! Tonight, she shot a half dozen shots out of my Liberty, even though the draw length is too long for her and the draw weight is just a little too much!

Now, she is a left handed shooter and her draw length is around 27"! She just had a some strain getting my Liberty drawn back and it is set at 71#, but she was able to do it a half dozen times in a row.

Now, Jeff (the owner of my pro-shop, was leaning towards a BlackHawk for her, but, after watching her tonigh, he was thinking that one of the higher end bows would work really well for her. Now comes the challenge, figuring out which bow to get her. I am thinking of the Pat SC wtih 60# limbs, the Justice with 60# limbs, or the Pat DC with 50# limbs. What do you guys think would be the best choice. There aren't any left handed BowTechs around here, so, figuring out which one is best is gonna be a tough decision. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what do you think would give her the best speed out of these set-ups?

If she can draw back 71# u better not make her mad, a girl like that would put a whoppin on you!!! Should have kept the MM and set it at 60# for her.

buckeye,

The thought had crossed my mind, but, I want her to start out with something that isn't as touchy. The MM isn't too bad, but, it isn't as forgiving as some of the other BowTechs. She could pull my MM set at 63#, but, she struggled pretty bad with it! The MM was 1/2" longer draw length, which might have had a effect on that!

BM,
What about a Liberty with 60# limbs? Were you going for the Justice because of the shorter ATA and little bit more brace height?

That's a good idea how about the Pat S/C then you'll be able to compare ,and if you pick up the module's for your draw then you can change it over for yourself need be hahaha

Wow Buck...a bow uh...that's a pretty big step in a relationship my friend. It's kinda funny how guys go out of their way and spend a lot of money on their girlfriends...when all we want on our birthday is for them to wear something trashy from victorias secret....Or is that just me:D

Jason, You're making me feel like a bit of a chump since all I got for my girlfriend was a Stalker Lite...And I work for BowTech...But hey, she's got me what better could she have?...;):D (hold the comments fellas)...;):D

I think I would start her off with a 60 lb. Liberty. If she's planning on hunting, I'm sure it will draw smoother/easier for her when it's cold out and the heavy hunting clothes are on.

BUCK MAGNET, just my 2 cents. My wife just started to shoot archery last year. I purchased a BowTech Ladyhawk for her. It is lightwieght and has the rascal cam for easy drawing. she is shooting hers at about 45lbs. She really loves it. She is shooting her first ITS tournament and she is currently in 4th place. (this is a team shoot) Her team name is "Team Tech", because her partner shoots a Pro 38. I would shoot with her but it is at my work and employees are not allowed to shoot the league do to the whole conflict of intrest thing. Anyway the ladyhawk or the liberty would all be great choices. JMHO.:D

Exactly my suggestion as well.. Smooth, good brace height, stable, compact but not too compact.
