limb savers
i know that on split limb bows, limb savers are usually installed. do these really quiet the bow, and save the limbs as the name implies, and do they work as well on solid limb bows?

RE: limb savers
They work very very well on most any bow you put them on, save the '04 bowtechs with their hush kit and quite possibly the Merlin Max Extreme...
If I'm not shooting one of these bows, they're going on whatever I end up with. |
RE: limb savers
They work great on all bows.
One of the few - should have - items in the market today. |
RE: limb savers
Had 'em on my old Hoyt Pro-Vantage hunter with laminated limbs. My neighbor was amazed at how quiet the bow was. Now it wasn't the fastest bow so noise was never a big issue, but I'd use them again if my current bow hadn't come with limb dampeners similar to the Limbsavers on them already.

RE: limb savers
Yes to both questions. I doubt if you will be able to find a person that will comment otherwise. They are one of the few accessories in the archery world that perform as advertised.

RE: limb savers
Limb Saver just came out with another "new" version of these.
They have a radial cutout on opposite sides of the mushroom head. Not sure as to all the differences or improvements, but I did see an ad for the new versions. |
RE: limb savers
IMHO Pasquel the limb savers does help reduce the vibration and dampens the noise. As for them being limb savers--I doubt if some 'dry fires' their bow, the SVL Limb savers will come out a 'Hero'.
With this said, under the normal operation of your bow, the limb savers will certainly enhance the areas where the vibrations are occuring. They do work well for these reasons. |
