RE: What Stabilizer ?

The Patriot Dually is balanced very nicely and neutral, and nothing like the 2002 Patriot SC which really demanded back weight.
Don't mean to hijack.. just thought I'd ask since it was posted.

I have an '02 Patriot single cam.. and currently looking for a stabilizer. Any idea on what setups work best to offset the top heaviness? I was told a doinker chubby on the back side... or a sims enhancer. Any other recomendations? Also shooting a spot hogg hogg it if it makes any difference.

I will be using a Impact Archery Cosmic for now, but I want to get a Spott Hogg Real Deal in the near future. Are you familiar with the Cosmic ? and what do you think of them ,I like it personally as long as you got a flat shooter but I'm not struck on having to adjust in a hurry. The udjustment arm has 2 tightners on the side I tride just tightening the rear knob but found that the site itself was loose so I have to tighten both screw in knobs to secure it properly,so that's a real pain.

Nubo,
I think the Cosmic is a pretty nice sight.......I'm personally not a fan of those SUPER bright wrapped pin styles, or adjustable sights, but the Cosmic seems like a well made product. I tried an HHA Optimizer Lite slider style and while I liked the sight quality very much I would just have panic attacks about where to set it and worrying about having to adjust it under fire. I punted and went back to a conventional pin sight. (Spot Hogg) I won't go back.
You DO have a VERY flat shooting bow.......simply one of the flatest actually depending upon how light you feel like going, but under normal hunting distances with even mid to heavy arrow weights the Pat Dually will compliment a single pin sight. I just freaked out myself over the thought of a 40 yarder. [:o]:D

KBacon,.........cause' I gotta cut loose.........Footloose.......kick off your dancin' shoes! [8D]:D Dude sorry, I just can't help it, everytime I see your screenname it happens.
Anyway, where was I ?
Oh.......stabilizers.....yeah unfortunately with the 2002 Patriot unless you get mildly crazy with the back weight you are going to have to embrace some of that forward tumble. With a normal sight even 10-14oz stabilizers in the rear will not even it out completely. What I did was to put a 12oz. 4" Stealth (Made extra heavy) in the rear and a short light GKF Tranquilizer out front. (I can't function without SOMETHING out there.
My buddy Frank used ONLY a Chubby Hunter doinker.......dare I say in his rear hole!?[:-] and it balanced pretty well.......not QUITE there but good, and way better than nothing at all, or trying a forward mounted one on its own.
Take the bow to a shop and ask if you can open some packages to check balance. See what feels good. think HEAVY.

Nubo, I shoot with a truglo flexidoinker on my PSE. It eliminates all hand shock and it has done a lot to improve my accuracy. I got it a Wal-Mart on sale for around ten dollars. It was well worth it.:D
