new gold tip arrows

RE: new gold tip arrows
The major differences/new stuff is that they will have
New 22 series & X-cutters...slightly weaker in spine & lighter in weight
New "ultralite" series of arrows in 600 to 300 spines, IIRC
XTs & Hunters will now be +/- 2 grains instead of +/- 5 grains
New graphics, and Hunters will be cleaned at the factory
Big Game Arrows will drop to +/- .005 straightness tolerance from .003 previous.
Personally I'm glad to see the weight tolerance tightened up on the XT's. But Goldtip really needs to work on ID tolerances..I nearly broke over my knee every GT arrow I had trying to get my broadheads to spin straight on them..sloppy tolerances in that realm....
They are not there yet, but getting closer all the time.

AKDoug, yes the friend I was talking about is the owner of Mtn. Archery. He is a great guy. Very smart business man. He and 4 of his buddies came here to Ohio to deer hunt with us a few years ago, and me, my dad and 3 buddies are going out to elk hunt with them, hopefully this next season. had a blast with them. We sat around at night talking about his business and he is really sharp. We couldn't believe the amount of raw shafts he orders at a time. It was amazing. He really does an outstanding job. He is a big boy too. He was shooting a 100 lb. Bowtech Samson when he was here. You talk about a smokin arrow!!! We told him that we would be glad to gut the deer for him, he didn't have to do it with the shot!
