Well, gonna retire my XI Flatliner this year. I don't need a 65-85 pound bow anymore (or I should say I can't always get myself in shape to shoot this bow anymore).
I've tried ARs, Hoyts, Bowtechs and Alpines so far.
The bows I've shot and liked the most were a Patriot Dually, Patriot Single, and an Alpine VX Stealth.
In trying to compare them all, one thing I can't find is an IBO or AMO speed for the VX stealth (and before you say go out to Huntersfriend's chart...the bow listed there isn't the VX Stealth).
So I'll call Alpine today about it.
If someone has a lot of experience with the VX, I'd love to hear it.
Each of the bows I've liked had it's strong points...Patriot Single for lack of timing issues, the Dually just felt good shooting, and the Alpine felt decent, and cost about $200 less than the Bowtechs.
FYI, I'm 6'5, currently shoot 32" draw (I'm shortening that, though, to better suit my treestand shooting) and have my bow set at 65#. I'm going to get the new bow in 60# max...so I'm trying to keep the speed up to offset the weight loss.

Tried an '03 Pat dually against an 04 Pat single, and a Liberty. Dually just felt better to me.
Shop is going to get me 60# limbs from Bowtech and we'll play with modules (not sure if I want 30, 30.5 or 31).
Thought about waiting to try an '04 pat... but the price was going to be enough more where I said...I like this..I'm gettin' it.
So....whoopie...
Now I can look for arrows
