cable guide rod

Does anyone use an offset cable guide rod on their tec risers, like the ones on some of the target bows?I think I could get by with one on my Cyber Tec and maybe cut down on the cable angle coming out of the top cam.Ron

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the standard straight is meant for hunting. The off-set one is mainly for guys who target shoot and use small fletchings typically found on most target setups. With the bigger fletching and feathers, you run the risk of hitting the cables.

Muzz,I am aware of the clearance issue with the offset rod but I have about a 1/4" to play with on my bow which would really take some of the angle out of the cable.Sides I'm trying to amuse myself in the off season.Ron
