Another Bowtech question!
I am planning on getting a 80 lb 2004 Liberty soon. (if my 2 bows on ebay will ever sell.)[:'(] My question is, Can you back an 80lb model down to about 75-76 pounds? I thought I read on another post that Bowtech did not recommend backing off the limb bolts. Or is that just while it is in a bow press? Just wanted to make sure before I order. Thanks.:)

RE: Another Bowtech question!
Yes you can.

RE: Another Bowtech question!
As Vic said they can be backed down from their peak draw weight generally 10 lbs. in most cases.
BowTech recommends no more than 2 1/2 turns out on each limb bolt. |
RE: Another Bowtech question!
no problem with backing it down - as bowtech shooter said about 10lbs is it.
|
RE: Another Bowtech question!
I assumed that was the case, but someone on this board said Bowtech did not recommend it. Just wanted to clarifiy. Thanks.

RE: Another Bowtech question!
What bows do you have on ebay?I've got a bid on a few bowtech bows.:D Dan

RE: Another Bowtech question!
Yes you can! Isn't that about half the purpose of the new limb pockets? That supposed to make the bow perform better when you back the poundage down! You should be able to shoot it at 70 lbs. no problem.
Good Luck...you'll love that bow! |
RE: Another Bowtech question!
timber cutter, you wouldn't happened to have bid on a MightyMite would you?
|
RE: Another Bowtech question!
No,I bid on the blue target patriot and a vft extreme.I haven't shot a mighty mite yet,but I did shoot the blackhawk, very short.Shot very good, just don,t know if I'm ready for that short of bow yet.:D Dan
