thanks buddy

I am interested to see how the vibra blocks are compared to the simms limb savers
and their silencers against string whiskers

I can tell you tests show they work as well. I'm not going to say better but just as well. The one good thing about them is you can move them around to find your sweet spot and the fact that they can't fall off. Same with the string silencers and cable guard dampener both work very good...

How conceivable would it be to install both the vibra blocks and limbsavers? I wouldn't think you'd lose but a couple feet per second at most by slowing down the limb return rate, but I wonder if you would realize enough additional dampening properties to make it worthwhile?

Greg,
BowTech is saying something like ZERO speed loss with one set, and a 1fps loss with 2......I'm guessing that a combination of the Vibrablock and Limbsavers would result in probably that same 1fps loss.......I'm gonna give it a try(the only bad thing is ripping the axles out to get em' on. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>)

The string silencers are pretty cool......it's a design I was wondering why SIMS didn't come out with first. Your string runs THRU the silencer, not the other way around and they have sort of a flat &quot;spider&quot; sort of look to them that runs perpendicular to the bowstring.
They are also saying no speed loss with these as well......they are very light and work really well as far as I can tell.....the only bow I saw that had them I didn't get to shoot.(I plucked the string pretty hard) and it was nice and dead like a &quot;String Leech&quot; Can't wait to get those stinkin' whiskers off the string.
The cable guard &quot;dampener&quot; is an elongated rubber &quot;cross&quot; style that slips over the cable guard the same way as the SIMS product. As with the SIMS version I don't expect to &quot;FEEL&quot; a thing from this addition, but I like knowing that it's there.

I'll keep you posted.

thanks Matt
Just want to know all this before
if I decide on the patriot

Just a little note. It also depends on where the VibraBlocks are placed on the limbs. Tests show that best results are 1/4&quot; up from the limb fork on each limb.

Matt,

Wouldn't it be easier to take the limb bolts out and put them on from that end? I'll probably do that as I have to anyway to put my NV system on.

HotLZ,
You know I was thinking about that as well.....the limb does have 2 ends.:) Seems like a lot of trouble to go thru tho for something that works AS WELL as Limbsavers (which I already use), but maybe I'll give it a go.

BowTech_Shooter.......Are you saying they're supposed to work best that high?.....up into the flared end of the limb?
I wouldn't have expected that......thru playing around JeffB located the spot where the limb thins out evenly to be th esweet spot for Limbsavers, and I have to agree I tried it.
I guess that's the beauty of the product like you mentioned.....you can move it anywhere you want.
Heck.....I'll give it a try.(I'm already gonna have it in the press for the string and cable guard silencers. Might as well play hammer mechanic. <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
