RE: Easton ST AXIS: VERY IMPRESSIVE
Have you guys discovered Bowhunt America magazine? I think it's the greatest. The latest issue has an offer that seems too good to be true and I intend to take advantage of it. Here it is. Subscribe for four years for $69.95 and get one dozen Easton ST Axis arrow shafts for free. I don't know how one can go wrong.

RE: Easton ST AXIS: VERY IMPRESSIVE
How in the world do you fletch these skinny shafts with a hard helical? Dang, I'd have trouble getting an offset on them. Just saw them today. I'll have to do some shooting with them I guess. They remind me of the tiny 3D arrows the tourny archers use.
Because they are so thin, is it really as hard to fletch them as it looks? |
RE: Easton ST AXIS: VERY IMPRESSIVE
Shouldn't be any problem. I fletch my Beman Carbon Hunters (skinnier than the Axis) with 4" vanes on a Bitzenburger jig and a right helical clamp.

RE: Easton ST AXIS: VERY IMPRESSIVE
JeffB,
I am interested in trying the easton st axis shafts. I am going to be shooting a hoyt xtec at 67 pounds, with a 29 inch draw using a loop and release. My arrows will be 30 inches long, with 3, 4 inch duravanes. I will use 100 grain fixed blade heads. What size will I need to shoot. I went on easton's website, but couldn't get the chart for this arrow. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bhunter32. |
