That being said...is there any serious detriment to being overspined other than the weight/speed concern?

I ran your set up through the easton chart on jacksons archery page.Assuming a 27 or 28" arrow thw 2315 seems a good choice.The 2312 does'nt even show up for a 26" arrow.
