Arrow length.
Greetings,
I shoot a GoldenEagle 70#, 30" draw I' m in need of some Arrows. I' m also new to the whole Archery thing, as well as to this forum. I' ve spent a lot of time reading your great forum, but I' ve seen nothing on how you choose Arrow length. Any help would be great..... Thanks, RFields |
RE: Arrow length.
Hi RFields, welcome to the board! :)
Well, the only way that I know would is to draw back a long arrow and mark where the arrow sits on the rest at full draw. Then add an inch onto that. Though I am not sure how accurate that is. My local archery shop has an arrow that is marked like a ruler. They have the shooter draw back and then they take the reading. Then cut the arrows to the proper length. |
RE: Arrow length.
measure them to the front of your riser--that is what my archery dealer always does--good luck

RE: Arrow length.
Jeramyk,
Thanks for the information, I could go to the local " Pro" shop, but I was looking into one of these killer deals, from the likes of, Archery Experts, Bass- Pro, ect... or maybe, one of the major Arrow Co' s, like Easton or Beman. And not sure of the length, I should order for my draw length of 30" , I shoot an older bow a Golden Eagle 70# 30" draw, with a 65% let off. It also has a TM Hunter style rest, as of right now I shoot fingers but going to the Release, as soon as the funds prevail. I' d like a little heavier Arrow for the K.E, but lighter one' s have a little more " zip" . I' d also be open for suggestions on Broadheads, and weights, I know I' d like the fixed blades types. I' m sure that' s more questions, then anyone' s willing to answer, but just thought I' d " throw" it out there, to see what kind of feed back I can get. Thanks to all that at least took the time to read my Rant..... Do Right, and Fear NO one.... RFields |
