NAP Quicktune 800
 

I bought a new bow as an outfit. It came with a NAP Quicktune 800 rest. Is that a decent rest or should I consider getting something better? It seems to work OK. I am primarily a hunter, not a target shooter. Thanks.....

This is the one, right?
Well, as long as you got it in a package, let it stay on the bow.
I see you can adjust it in 3 different springtensions, so try to find the one that fits your arrows. A little more stiffer is better the loose set-up.
Make sure you put all the screws tight and dont try to adjust them to much.
I sugest you put shrinking tube over the prongs to avoid sounds.

Its not really a bad arrow rest.
What kind of new bow did you buy?

Yep, Raymond, that' s the one. I bookmarked that site. Thanks. I bought a Parker Hunter Mag Outfitter. That rest came on the bow. I thought about putting the covers on the 2 prongs, but the carbon arrows I shoot hardly make a sound. I will experiment in regard to it though, for I may use aluminum arrows in the end. That outfit is a vast improvement over the twenty year old used PSE I had been hunting with! However, I did kill a nice doe this year with that old PSE. Thanks for the information.

If you do decide to put some silencers on it, go with the white ones. I am not sure of what they are made of, but they last much, much longer.

Did the rest come with covers? Are they soft and pliable, or are they kinda stiff? You want to use the stiff ones, can probably pick some up at the local archery shop.
