bow tuning question

I just bought used Ultra Tec, the bow is in good shape according to my friendly pro shop.
When I started paper tuning, the point of impact was like 1/2" low, so I started moving the nock down, and eventually got almost perfect bullet hole, but at the same time I ended up with my arrow pointing up when sitting on the rest, the experts say that for release shooter the proper nock position should be app. 1/4" above the 90 degree line from string to the rest, to prevent the arrow/feathers slaming onto the rest after release.
Which is a lesser " evil" ; the paper tear or the tip of arrow higher than nock?

RE: bow tuning question

Paper tuning is just a starting point. Group tune if you want your bow to really stack' em in there. Be safe.
