I asked the same thing in a post a couple of days ago (see ?'s Mathews and Muzzy ZE, or something like that) and didn't get any replies.

My friend and I were wondering about that, too. I haven't shot the ZE, but I understand it's a great rest. I also think the new Mathews look pretty interesting, so it might be a real shame if they are incompatible.

BTW, another thing that sort of sucks, at least, IMHO it sucks, the new 2 piece Mathews's quivers don't fit on the 2 small bows (SQ2 and MQ 32&quot;).

Bo: Looks to me like a couple of fall aways won't work. If the cables just roll in place I wouldn't think the Trophy Taker will work either. I may just stick with my MQ1 and MZE.

If you decide to get one of several newly designed bows that captivate the cables, be very careful to inspect the area of the cable captivation periodically. The upper cable captivation is done directly in line with your eye. If something comes loose or breaks, it could launch parts directly into your line of sight.

The Mathews design utilizes e-clips, which we know can come off. If this happens and the axle holding the small rollers slides, you could get a roller launched toward you. In a design by another manufacturer that I saw, there is a locking design on the cable slide. In this design there has already been a case where the cable guard broke and the shooter was injured.

I'm not saying that any design is bad; just that you should be aware of any inherent potential problems.

Good observation Len. Who wants to wear safty glasses when they shoot? I'm a diehard Mathews fan but, I WON'T GIVE UP MY MZE FOR NO BOW. Do you see anyway a fall away will work with this design? Maybe a Trap Door. But we really don't want to go there. What would happen if we just swapped out the rollers with a conventional cable slide? Besides VOID the warranty.

I have it on my SQ2, and I have 4 other friends that have them on Q2, Q2XL and the MQ series. They installed in a breeze. One thing I did, was not to use the overdraw base, it just adds weight. One reason I bought my SQ2 was weight. Mathews/MZE, great combo.

Nub: I think the new Mathews designs would work well with the new Golden Key Mirage drop-away. The Mirage has a small &quot;fulcrum&quot; lever that allows the &quot;pull up&quot; string to be mounted under the rest and utilize the downward motion of the cable. Others use the cable's backward movement which surely wouldn't work on this design.

This downward movement of the cable for activation is another thing I like about the Mirage design. BTW, this could also be designed into other cable-activated drop-away rests.

The Savage drop away would work well... Works very well for me...
