corb, actually the Mighty Mite is slightly faster, and only 2" longer ATA. The Mighty Might will be a VFT style bow in 04. The Tech 29 was discontinued in 04. Definitely take a look at the new MM.

So the Mightly Mite is 316fps at 30" draw while the Tech 29 is 314fps at 29" draw. At 29" the MM is 307. The MM looks more forgiving due to the A2A and brace height but I need to get every bit of speed I can. I can only draw a maximum of 50lbs and currently am using a 45lb draw weight. I have torn the rotator cuff in both my shoulders and have had one operated on already. The other is due. So for a light poundage shooter like myself the Tech 29 seemed the way to go.

So with this in mind, does anyone know of the best bow to get that will yield the fastest speeds with a 334gr arrow at 50lbs max draw weight? This is the minimum arrow weight I will use for hunting so I don' t want to get into a discussion about lightening the arrow to increase speed. I guess I should probably post this query as a new topic.

Brian,
If you lok at the specs, the Pro 40 Dual cam has basically taken that role. Similar brace height, similar speeds and just a touch more axle to axle length. It' s there, they just used the wrong numbers when they named it :D

Maybe if you measured it from the end of both cams....:D

Corb,

What' s your draw length? I' ve got some 325 grain arrows here with a few :D 2003 model bows that I can set up and give you some estimated speeds when I get the time.

That would be great! I am at 28.5" draw and 50# weight. I think I might wind up going downto a 28" draw. I use a peep, string loop and whisker biscuit. But we can adjust for these things.

In the other thread " fastest bow at 50lbs" I mentioned that it looks like the Extreme VFT or the 2004 Patriot VFT might be my best choices. But the Mighty Mite and Tech 29 look like they might make the grade as well.

Shooter, any real data you can get for me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
